My main inspiration for painting is in nature. Observing the changing colours and light each season presents is endlessly fascinating to me.
Sketches done while out walking provide ideas, and back in my studio I sometimes tear these up and do a collage, which can provide the basis of an interesting painting. I mostly paint land, sea and cityscapes, which have moved towards the abstract. I work in oil, acrylic and mixed media.
I show and sell my work at Open Studios, and the Cambridge Drawing Society exhibitions, both of which have examples of my work on their websites.
