Sat 6 November

Below are details of the buskers, stalls and family fun you will find at Donkey Common and Petersfield at the second Mill Road Saturday, on Saturday 6th November, from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

There are also a number of events at other spots along the road, so be sure to take a stroll further down, doing the I Spy Mill Road trail as you go. You can see more here.

The EDGE Café

At the Romsey end of Mill Road, the bunting and I Spy Mill Road trail continues with The EDGE Café hosting a fabulous range of events: craft workshop, vegan cookery workshop with Pantry Parcels using donated surplus food, Reiki and acupuncture, and a range of retro-themed fête games. To book spaces on the workshops and healing events, please call The EDGE on 01223 212478. You can see more here.

From 10am to 12pm, they will also be hosting giant 5asideCHESS which always draws a crowd and is appealing for young and old alike. Using fewer pieces than the standard game, so it is more accessible and has a greater reach, 5asideCHESS is easy to learn, play, teach and find ways to connect with others around us. See the poster here.

At the Bath House on Gwydir Street, Lifecraft will be holding a ‘social club’ open day from 12-3pm where you can drop in for tea, coffee and a chat. You can see more here.

Family fun

On Petersfield, you can find Cambridge Hands-On Science (CHaOS), a group of friendly student volunteers from the University of Cambridge, who are keen to share with you our passion for science! We will have loads of fun experiments from across STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). CHaOS has no age limits. We want younger children to see our experiments and think they’re amazing, to get involved and play with the effects we’re demonstrating. For older children, we’re also there to teach the science underlying the fun.
Also on Petersfield, look out for the fabulous face painter and hair braider!
